Best organic quality from South America
FREE FROM CHEMICALS AND PESTICIDES
Organic farming has long since become the norm in Peru. Between the years 2012 and 2018, the number of organic farmers more than doubled – and that upward trend continues. There are several reasons for this. One is that 90 % of agricultural operations in Peru are small family-run enterprises which, due to their small size alone, have no need to deploy chemicals or pesticides.
In addition to this, the favourable environmental conditions and the good soil in Peru allow fruit and vegetables to thrive in best organic quality.
But this is by no means the only thing that speaks in Peru’s favour. Due to their location in the southern hemisphere, Peruvian producers are able to offer many varieties at a time when they are not in season in the Mediterranean region.
IPD puts you in touch with many new suppliers that you most certainly don't know yet. This is because we focus our sourcing primarily on the geographically remote regions far away from the major urban centres.

Whether in the Andes, in the rainforest or on the coast: Peru offers a wide variety of agricultural products - often in top organic quality. In addition to classics such as mangos and bananas, exotics such as camu camu, physalis and chirimoyas are also part of the product range. Organic ginger is an up-and-coming product from the Andean country and presents a good alternative to ginger from China.
